Getting started with Lawwit

Pick a module, attach your document, describe the task in plain words.

Every task in Lawwit starts in the chat screen. The module you choose and the request you write decide which tools run; there are no commands to memorise. This page covers the basics shared by all modules.

Step by step

  1. Choose a module
Pick the module that fits your task at the top of the chat: Legal Consultant, Petitions & Contracts, Case Law Search, Legislation & Laws, Risk Analysis, File Analyst, Legal Translation or Hearing & Record Analysis. Legal Consultant suits general questions; specialised tasks are more precise in their own module.
  2. Select the client
When working on a matter, select the client. Deadlines, hearings, approved facts and UYAP documents for that client are added to answers as context.
  3. Attach the document
Use the paperclip icon in the chat box to attach PDF, Word or image documents. Tools read the file directly; no copy-pasting needed.
  4. Write your request in plain words
For example “Draft a point-by-point reply to the opposing petition” or “When does the appeal period for this judgment expire?”. Lawwit picks the right tool.
  5. Review the card and approve
Results usually arrive as interactive cards. Permanent actions such as saving to the file, adding to the calendar or writing to the glossary or memory happen only when you press the button on the card.

What you can do

Result cards

Deadline calculations, case-law tables, contract risk lists and bilingual translations arrive as cards instead of plain text. Cards offer copy, save-to-file and convert-to-draft buttons, and show the credits spent on that task.

Cost confirmation for heavy tasks

Long tasks such as multi-document table review, point-by-point petition replies, contract reviews and translations show an estimated credit cost first. Nothing starts until you approve, so there are no surprise charges.

Today page

The screen you start the day with: upcoming deadlines by urgency, today’s and upcoming hearings, and the latest UYAP documents. Hearing dates from UYAP land in your calendar automatically.

Verifiable results

Legal numbers and dates come from rule tables, quotes come verbatim from the document, and case-law and statute citations come from the source text. A quote that cannot be found in its source is not shown. The final check always rests with the lawyer.

Tips

  • Select the client first when working on a matter; every module uses that context.
  • No need to split long tasks; the tool segments the document itself.
  • Nothing is written to the file, calendar or memory unless you approve it on the card.

Frequently asked questions

What if I am not sure which module to use?

Start with Legal Consultant. Most document, case-law, legislation and hearing tools also work there; specialised tasks are more precise in their own module.

Where are my documents stored?

Documents attached to chat are processed only within your firm’s account. Permanent storage (adding to a file or the library) happens with your approval.

How are credits spent?

Charges depend on the amount of text processed. Each card shows the cost of that task; long tasks show an estimate for your approval before they start.
