Legislation research and tracking

The article as it stood then, linked regulations and change alerts.

The Legislation & Laws module shows an article’s past versions and the text in force on the date of the events, lists recent Official Gazette changes, and finds regulations and communiqués implementing an article. Set up a tracking subscription for a statute or area to get a daily summary of changes.

Step by step

  1. Open the Legislation module
Write the statute and article number; mention the date of the events if it matters.
  2. Review versions and differences
The card shows the article’s versions and the difference between two of them.
  3. Find linked rules
Ask “Which regulations implement this article?”.
  4. Track it
Approve the suggested subscription on the card or manage it on the Law Tracking page.

What you can do

Article versions

Shows an article’s past versions, the text in force on the date of the events and the differences between versions.

Example request
“What did Article 344 of the Code of Obligations say in 2019 and how does it differ today?”

Recent Official Gazette changes

Lists changes read daily from the Official Gazette (laws, presidential decisions, regulations, communiqués, Constitutional Court decisions): date, title, summary, entry into force and affected statutes.

Example request
“Was anything affecting employment law published this week?”

Article ↔ regulation ↔ case-law links

Finds regulations and communiqués implementing a statutory article. Only those whose text actually cites the article are shown, with the citing sentence quoted. Related decisions are added to the answer.

Example request
“Which regulations implement Article 63 of the Labour Law?”

Legislation tracking

Sets up a tracking subscription for a statute, legal area or keyword. When a relevant change appears in the Official Gazette you get a daily summary. Manage subscriptions on the Law Tracking page.

Example request
“Track changes in landlord and tenant law.”

Statute relationship map

A map is drawn from the statute citations in the answer, showing which articles apply together. It is built from the citations in the answer and adds no new information.

Tips

  • Give the date of the events; the applicable text is the version in force on that date.
  • Write the statute by name or number: “Law No. 6098 Art. 344” or “Turkish Code of Obligations 344”.
